Our Professional Staff

Much Ado is directed and staffed by professionally trained Shakespearean actors with extensive teaching experience. Our staff has trained at such nationally recognized schools as Julliard, North Carolina School of the Arts, UNC, the Howard Fine Studio, and Carnegie-Mellon.

Stuart Calof teaches Shakespeare, Acting, Text Analysis, and Stage Sword Combat. Professional credits include: Company member of Bridgeport Free Shakespeare where he played ‘Mercutio’ in “Romeo and Juliet." Company member of Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum where he played the title role in a Second Stage production of “Hamlet," other Mainstage shows there: “Taming of the Shrew," “Harold and Maude,"
“Twelfth Night", “Midsummer Nights Dream,"
and “Madwoman of Chaillot”.
Stuart teaches at the The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Hollywood. Dramatic Training: Howard Fine Acting Studio, Stella Adler Theater and University of California, Berkeley.

Rebekah Czarnecki teaches Juggling, Clowning, Dance, Music, and Shakespeare. Professional credits include: Company member of Connecticut Free Shakespeare: “As You Like It”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Cyrano de Bergerac”. Company member of Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum: “Hamlet”,“Taming of the Shrew”, “Harold and Maude”, and “Twelfth Night”. Also National Theatre for the Performing Arts, The Muckenthaller Theatre, Grove Theatre Centre,
and Rebekah is an Improv Olympic West Alumni.

Kelly Boczek teaches Comedia del’arte, Elizabethan
Times, Improvisation, Singing, and Stage Make-up.
She has worked professionally in Detroit, New York,
Volterra, Italy, and Frankfurt, and Germany. Some
of her favorite roles were Helena in All's Well That
End's Well, Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker, Nina
Taplin in Someday Called, Billie in Born Yesterday,
Little Red Ridinghood in Into the Woods, and Sissy
in A Piece of My Heart. She has appeared on the
Tonight show and starred in the Independent film
Click Three Times, for which she won a best actress
award from the N.Y. Indi Flim Fest. Kelly is a member
of the Knightsbridge Theatre in Los Angeles and is the
Artistic Director of the National American Shakespeare
Company for Kids.
